Who we are
A Birds’s eye view about Osmania College of Education, Kurnool Osmania College of Education, Kurnool is a minority institution within the meaning of Article 30 (I) of the Constitution of India and that the minority status certificates has been granted by the Govt. of A.P. and communicated through the proceeding of the Director of School Education, AP., Hyderabad certificate (No. 069/5710/M&R/99/M) dt. 23.07.1999, permanent Minority status No. 069/5710/M&R/99/M dt 23.07.1999 has been accorded with the orders issued by the Government in G. O. Ms. No 23 Minorities Welfare (M&R) dept. dt.10.03.1999.
The Government of A.P. order copy G.O. Ms. No 214 dt. 17.09.1993 has accorded permission of starting up the college for the academic year 1993-1994 (Copy Enclosed). The present course of B.Ed. has strength of 3 units with two years duration. Osmania College of Education is well equipped with infrastructural facilities. The new building was exclusively built for the purpose of Education Department i.e., College of Education and other relevant courses of Education Department.
Osmania College of Education Kurnool has ground floor, first floor, second floor and third floor exclusively for College of Education. Ground floor and first floor is exclusively being used for B.Ed. course. The management is considering for setting up M.Ed. course and D.Ed. course and the building are has been extended to third floor with nine class rooms accommodation with an area of 721.92 sq. mts. But the management has confined itself only with B.Ed. College. The building area is 2820.67 sq.mts. Osmania College of Education management committee was planning to have D.Ed. course for (Urdu Medium) for Women and M.Ed. course, but due to certain constraints it was unable to move further to add further courses.
Osmania College of Education is well equipped with Library, Laborites facilities for every department, well equipped Audio-Visual – Educational Technology lab where in we do have Mana TV Programmes in channel 03 telecast by SCERT, NCERT state Government Educational Programmes, toilet facilities separate for ladies and gents/students and staff separately. The doors, windows and the benches for students are made of teak wood.
The college has the following FDRs as Endowment fund/Reserve fund/Corpus fund. (1) Bank of IndiaFDR No864545110000722 of Rs 7,45,663.20 dt 28.09.2018 (2) Bank of IndiaFDR No864545110000723 of Rs 8,21,568.18 dt 28.09.2018 The above FDRs are in join account and has not yet been cashed. The FDRs are being only extended hence there is increase in the amount of Reserved fund as well as Endowment fund (Form A) is enclosed from Bank of India, Kurnool.
